The services have been introduced by regional airline FLY91 as part of its expansion of regional connectivity in Andhra Pradesh.
The new routes are expected to be particularly useful for devotees travelling to Tirupati, while also offering an additional option for people travelling for education, business and tourism.
Tirupati Flights Have Different Weekly Frequencies
The Tirupati-Hyderabad route will operate daily, giving passengers a direct connection between the two cities throughout the week.
The Tirupati-Vijayawada service will operate four days a week, while the Tirupati-Rajahmundry route will operate three days a week.
The different frequencies mean passengers will need to check the operating days while planning their journey.
The new services add more choice for travellers who previously had to depend on other routes or connecting options.
Hyderabad Route Adds Access to More Destinations
The Hyderabad connection is particularly significant because the city is a major aviation hub with a wider network of domestic and international flights.
For Tirupati passengers, the direct service to Hyderabad can therefore provide an additional route for onward travel to other parts of India and international destinations.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu highlighted the benefit of the new connections for pilgrims and said efforts were also being made towards establishing direct international connectivity between Tirupati and destinations such as Kuwait.
FLY91 Expands Its Regional Network
With Tirupati becoming its latest destination, FLY91 now has 13 destinations in its network and three destinations in Andhra Pradesh.
The airline currently operates more than 280 weekly flights across its network.
The airline has also ordered 40 ATR 72-600 aircraft as part of its longer-term regional expansion plans.
The additional aircraft are expected to support its efforts to increase connectivity between smaller cities and regional centres.
For Tirupati, the immediate benefit is the addition of direct services to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry.
The new routes give travellers more flexibility while strengthening the city’s position as an important air connection for pilgrims and other passengers.
