Redmi has officially started teasing the Redmi Turbo 5 for the Indian market.
This marks the first time the company’s performance-focused “Turbo” lineup is coming to India.
Amazon India teaser pages are already live, confirming that the smartphone will be available for purchase online through the platform.
The device was earlier launched in China in January 2026, and the Indian version is expected to be largely similar in design and hardware.
Design Revealed via Amazon Teaser
The Amazon listing has already given a clear look at the phone’s design.
The Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to come with:
Black color option
Flat-edge frame design
Dual rear camera setup
LED flash placed beside camera rings
Clean and minimal rear panel
Visually, the phone looks almost identical to its Chinese variant.
Interestingly, Xiaomi is bringing the Turbo branding directly to India for the first time instead of rebranding it under the Poco series.
Massive Battery and Fast Charging Stand Out
One of the biggest highlights of the Redmi Turbo 5 is its huge battery setup.
Based on the Chinese model, the phone is expected to feature:
7,560mAh battery
100W fast wired charging
27W reverse wired charging
This makes it one of the largest batteries in its category, far ahead of most premium smartphones available in India.
The device is clearly aimed at users who need:
Long gaming sessions
Heavy multitasking
Non-stop streaming
All-day battery backup
Powerful Performance with Dimensity Chipset
The Redmi Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, paired with:
Up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM
Up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage
The focus of this chipset is strong gaming performance along with better AI processing and power efficiency.
It is expected to compete directly with phones like:
OnePlus Nord series
iQOO Neo lineup
Poco X-series
Realme GT series
AMOLED Display and Gaming Features
The smartphone is also expected to offer a premium display experience.
Display Highlights
6.59-inch AMOLED panel
1.5K resolution
120Hz refresh rate
Up to 3,500 nits peak brightness
HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support
Other expected features include:

X-axis linear vibration motor
In-display fingerprint sensor
IP68/IP69 water resistance
HyperOS 3 based on Android 16
These features make it a strong option for gaming and multimedia users.
Cameras Focus on Everyday Use
The Redmi Turbo 5 is not a camera-centric phone, but it still offers a practical setup:
50MP primary camera
8MP ultra-wide lens
20MP front camera
Xiaomi is expected to include AI-based image processing and stabilized video recording for better everyday photography and content creation.
Expected India Launch and Price
Although Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the launch date, reports suggest the Redmi Turbo 5 may arrive in India around June 2026.
The expected price could be:
Under ₹45,000 in India
This places it in the premium mid-range performance segment.
Why Redmi Turbo 5 Matters for India
The launch of the Turbo 5 signals a shift in Xiaomi’s strategy for India.
Instead of relying only on Redmi Note and Poco devices, the company is now building a dedicated performance-focused Redmi lineup.
This also reflects a bigger industry trend where smartphones are increasingly competing on:
Battery size
Gaming power
AI performance
Cooling efficiency
Fast charging
With its massive battery, powerful chipset, and gaming-first approach, the Redmi Turbo 5 could become one of the most aggressive performance smartphone launches in India this year.
