Google has introduced several exciting features for Android users during the Android Show 2026 event. The company says these updates are designed to make Android smartphones smarter, more fun, and easier to use.

Among the biggest highlights are the brand-new 3D emojis and a wireless system that allows users to transfer data from an iPhone to an Android phone without using cables.

Google also confirmed that these features are expected to arrive first on Pixel and Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Android Gets New 3D Emojis

Google is giving Android emojis a major redesign. The company has introduced “Noto 3D Emoji,” which will offer a more realistic and detailed look compared to the old flat-style emojis.

According to Google, nearly 4,000 emojis have been redesigned. The new emojis will include better depth, shadows, and 3D-style effects, making chats look more lively and modern.

Until now, Android emojis looked quite simple and flat. With this update, Google wants to improve the overall chatting experience for users.

The new 3D emojis will first roll out to Pixel smartphones. After that, other Android brands are also expected to receive the update gradually.

Switching From iPhone to Android Becomes Easier

Google has also announced a new wireless data transfer feature for users moving from iPhone to Android.

Earlier, users needed a USB cable to transfer photos, videos, contacts, messages, passwords, and other data from an iPhone to an Android phone. The process was often lengthy and inconvenient.

Now, Google and Apple have worked together to make the entire transfer process wireless. Users will be able to move important data, including home screen layouts, without connecting any cables.

Google says this update will make switching phones much faster and simpler for users.

Better File Sharing Between Android and iPhone

Google is also improving file sharing between Android and iPhone devices. The company says support for Quick Share and AirDrop compatibility has been improved.

This means Android and iPhone users will find it easier to share photos, videos, and files with each other.

The wireless transfer feature is expected to arrive first on Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy smartphones before expanding to more Android devices later.
