Volvo, the renowned Swedish luxury car manufacturer, has unveiled its latest offering – the single motor variant of the electric SUV XC40 Recharge.
Priced at Rs 54.95 lakh (ex-showroom), this variant promises exceptional performance coupled with sustainable driving experience.
Features and Specifications
The new XC40 Recharge single motor variant boasts a powerful output of 238 horsepower and 420Nm torque.
Accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers in just 7.3 seconds, it’s equipped with a 69kWh Li-Ion battery pack, offering an impressive range of 475 kilometers (WLTP Range).
With a top speed of 180km/h, this variant comes packed with advanced features such as single pedal drive, LED lights, digital services, reverse camera, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, 7 airbags, and a wireless charger.
Assembly and Booking Details
Assembled at Volvo’s factory in Hoskote (Bengaluru), Karnataka, the XC40 Recharge single motor variant is now available for online booking exclusively through the Volvo Car India website.
Pre-bookings have commenced, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to secure their piece of automotive innovation.
Impressive Electric Vehicle Sales Performance
In 2023, Volvo witnessed a remarkable surge in electric vehicle sales, with the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge accounting for 28% of the company’s total sales.
Notably, the electric XC40 Recharge Dual Motor, assembled in India, saw outstanding success, with 510 units sold.
Similarly, the C40 Recharge, launched in September 2023, garnered attention with 180 units sold.
