X Video Kickstart Bonus is a new creator incentive programme that offers selected content creators a chance to earn up to $3,000 (approximately ₹2.85 lakh) by posting original videos on the social media platform.

The invite-only pilot focuses on encouraging creators to publish short videos regularly, with the bonus not tied directly to video views or engagement.

The programme gives eligible creators an additional opportunity to earn money from their content. However, receiving an invitation and meeting the programme’s posting requirements are essential to qualify for the reward.

X Video Kickstart Bonus: Who Can Participate?

X has introduced the Video Kickstart Bonus as a pilot programme available only to invited creators.

Allegra Jacchia, Creator Product Lead at SpaceXAI, announced the initiative, explaining that the platform is placing greater emphasis on video content.

The company has not publicly specified the exact criteria used to select creators for invitations. Therefore, having a particular number of followers or views does not guarantee that a creator will be selected.

Creators who receive an invitation can find the programme in the Programs section of Creator Studio. According to the announcement, invited participants must enrol by October 30, 2026, to take part in the initial campaign.

The programme differs from X’s separate Original Content Rewards initiative, which has been associated with requirements such as a Premium subscription, at least 500 verified followers and 500,000 impressions.

These conditions are not listed as prerequisites for the Video Kickstart Bonus pilot.

What Video Rules Must Creators Follow?

Participants must follow specific requirements related to video format, originality and posting frequency. These rules are intended to encourage creators to share their own short-form content consistently throughout the campaign.

Every qualifying video must meet the following conditions:

The video must use a vertical format and run for less than three minutes. It must also contain original content created by the participating creator.

Videos previously shared on other social media platforms may also qualify, provided they belong to the creator and do not carry another platform’s watermark, name or logo.

Simply reposting somebody else’s video does not meet the originality requirement.

Creators must publish at least 15 qualifying videos across 15 different days during the 30-day campaign period.

Uploading all 15 videos on a single day will not satisfy the requirement because the programme also measures how many separate days a creator publishes eligible content.

Participants should also ensure that their videos remain available and comply with the platform’s applicable rules.

Meeting the posting targets alone does not remove the need to satisfy the programme’s eligibility and content requirements.

How Much Can Creators Earn From X?

The announced reward is up to $3,000, equivalent to approximately ₹2.85 lakh.

Unlike incentive schemes that calculate earnings primarily from views or engagement, this pilot offers a fixed bonus to eligible participants who complete the required posting activity.

The reward is intended to encourage regular video publishing rather than making payment dependent on how many people watch or interact with each upload.

This could make the programme attractive to creators who can consistently produce original short-form videos.

However, the advertised maximum should not be treated as a guaranteed payment for every creator. Participation is invitation-based, and creators must meet the programme’s conditions to qualify for the reward.

X has not announced a general public application process for this pilot.

Creators who have not received an invitation should not assume that they can enrol simply by meeting the video requirements.

Why This Bonus Matters for Content Creators

The Video Kickstart Bonus reflects X’s effort to encourage more video publishing on its platform.

For creators who already produce original vertical videos, the programme offers a potential additional income opportunity without requiring them to depend directly on the performance of every individual post.

The rules also allow eligible creators to reuse their own videos previously published elsewhere, as long as those videos meet the originality and watermark requirements.

This may help creators who maintain content across multiple platforms.

For now, the programme remains a limited pilot rather than an incentive automatically available to all X users.

Interested creators should check their Creator Studio invitations, review the terms applicable to their campaign and complete enrolment before the stated deadline.
