Kia India has launched its new premium 3-row SUV, the Kia Sorento, in the Indian market.
The SUV comes with diesel and strong-hybrid engine options and is available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations.
The Kia Sorento starts at ₹27.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top model costs ₹40.39 lakh.
Higher variants also get an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system and terrain modes for better performance on different road conditions.
Kia Sorento Price in India
The diesel version of the Kia Sorento starts at ₹27.99 lakh and goes up to ₹38.89 lakh.
Customers looking for a hybrid SUV can choose the 1.6-litre strong-hybrid version, which is priced between ₹29.49 lakh and ₹40.39 lakh.
Large SUV with Premium Design
The new Kia Sorento measures 4,815 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,785 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,815 mm, offering plenty of space inside the cabin.
At the front, the SUV gets Kia’s signature Tiger Nose grille, vertically designed projector headlights and progressive turn indicators.
It also comes with large 19-inch alloy wheels and bridge-type roof rails. At the rear, buyers get vertical LED tail lamps, a roof spoiler and a hidden rear wiper.
Diesel and Strong-Hybrid Engine Options
The Kia Sorento is available with two engine choices.
The 2,151cc diesel engine produces 193 bhp and 442 Nm of torque. This option is aimed at buyers looking for strong performance and high torque.
The second option is a 1,598cc strong-hybrid petrol engine. It produces 180 bhp and works with a 65 PS electric motor. The combined torque output stands at 265 Nm.
The top HTX trim also gets an AWD system, making it better suited for challenging roads and different terrains.
Base Variant Gets Plenty of Features
Kia has equipped even the base HTE variant with several premium features. It gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 4-inch driver display, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The mid-spec HTK variant adds dual 12.3-inch screens, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a 360-degree surround-view camera and a panoramic sunroof.
Top HTX Variant Gets Premium Technology
The top-spec HTX variant offers several advanced features, including a generative AI assistant, Digital Key 2.0 and an ErgoMotion driver’s seat.
It also gets ventilated front and second-row seats, a head-up display, digital IRVM and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
These features make the Sorento a feature-packed option for buyers looking for a premium three-row SUV.
Up to 10 Airbags and Level 2+ ADAS
Safety is another major highlight of the new Kia Sorento. The base HTE variant comes with 26 standard safety features, including seven airbags.
The top HTX variant takes this further with 10 airbags and 28 safety features.
The Sorento also comes with Level 2+ ADAS technology. Its safety package includes five radars, navigation-based cruise control, multi-collision braking and front and rear dashcams.
ISOFIX child-seat mounts are also available for both the second and third rows, making the SUV more practical for families.
