Fake Passports Case Air Passenger has come to light after a 42-year-old man was booked by the Madurai city police following the detection of multiple passports with different dates of birth during immigration checks at Madurai airport.
According to police, the man, identified as Pandi from Tamarakki South in Sivaganga district, arrived at Madurai airport on Monday on a SriLankan Airlines flight.
Immigration officials questioned him after noticing discrepancies in his travel documents during verification.

Officials said the inquiry found that Pandi had been working in Qatar and Dubai for more than 18 years.
During the investigation, authorities allegedly discovered that he had changed his date of birth to obtain overseas employment.
Police said his actual date of birth is October 4, 1971. However, he had earlier declared his birth year as 1974
and later obtained passports carrying different birth details, including January 2, 1984.
Investigators alleged that the passports with different birth details were obtained with the help of agents.
Police begin investigation
Based on the findings of the immigration officials, the Madurai city police registered a case against Pandi.
The investigation is expected to focus on how multiple passports with different personal details were obtained and the role of the agents allegedly involved in the process.
