The Uttar Pradesh government is continuing its efforts to support children from vulnerable families.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state is providing financial and educational assistance to children who have lost one or both parents through the Chief Minister’s Child Service Scheme.

The scheme has become a major source of support for orphaned children and those rescued from child labor, begging, and other difficult situations.

Its aim is to help these children grow up in a safe family environment and build a better future.

Monthly Financial Assistance Until Age 18

Under the scheme, eligible children receive financial assistance of ₹2,500 every month until they turn 18 years old.

The support is designed to help families meet the children’s basic needs and ensure that financial difficulties do not affect their upbringing and education.

The government believes that every child deserves an opportunity to live with dignity and access essential facilities, regardless of their circumstances.

Extra Help for Higher Education

The scheme also supports young men and women who have lost one or both parents and wish to continue their studies.

Eligible beneficiaries between the ages of 18 and 23 receive ₹2,500 per month while pursuing a graduation degree or diploma course.

This assistance helps students continue their education without facing major financial obstacles.

More Than 1 Lakh Children Already Benefiting

At present, 1,03,611 children across Uttar Pradesh are receiving benefits under the Chief Minister’s Child Service Scheme.

For many economically weaker families, this financial assistance has become an important source of support.

The scheme is not limited to monetary help alone; it also aims to empower children and guide them toward a self-reliant and respectable life.

Positive changes are already being seen in the lives of many beneficiaries across the state.

Special Drive to Identify Eligible Children

To ensure that no eligible child misses out on the benefits, the Women’s Welfare Department has instructed District Probation Officers to actively identify beneficiaries.

Officials have been directed to conduct surveys, verification drives, and awareness campaigns at the district level.

The goal is to reach every eligible child and connect them with the scheme as quickly as possible.

What Did the Women’s Welfare Department Say?

C. Indumati, Director of the Women’s Welfare Department, said that all District Probation Officers have been instructed to identify eligible children and provide benefits on time.

According to her, extensive surveys and awareness programs are being carried out across the state to ensure that every eligible child receives support and no deserving beneficiary is left out of the scheme.

The government’s focus remains on protecting vulnerable children and ensuring they receive the financial and educational support needed to build a brighter future.
