The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has extended the ban on Indian aircraft using its airspace until August 24.
According to a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) that became effective at 3:50 PM IST on Friday, no flights operated by Indian airlines will be allowed to fly over Pakistan.
This includes both civilian and military aircraft that are Indian-owned or leased.
The restriction will stay in place until 5:19 AM IST on August 24, as confirmed by the PAA.
India Also Keeps Ban on Pakistani Flights
On the other side, India has also extended its ban on Pakistani aircraft flying over its airspace until July 24.
This restriction was first put in place on April 30 following the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which killed 26 people.
In response, Pakistan had closed its airspace to Indian flights starting April 24.
India Also Continues Ban on Pakistani Aircraft
Meanwhile, India has extended its own ban on Pakistani aircraft using Indian airspace until July 24.
This restriction was first imposed on April 30 following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which killed 26 people.
In response, Pakistan closed its airspace to Indian aircraft on April 24.
