Indians Can Apply for Thailand E-Visa Starting January 2025

The Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi has announced that Thailand’s e-Visa system will be introduced in India starting January 1, 2025.

Along with this, Indian passport holders will enjoy a 60-day visa exemption for tourism and small business purposes.

The e-Visa system will use an offline payment method, making the process more accessible for applicants.

How to Apply for the e-Visa

Non-Thai citizens must apply for all types of visas through the official website https://www.thaievisa.go.th. Applications can be submitted either in person or via representatives.

However, applicants should ensure that all documents are complete, as the embassy

and consulate general will not be responsible for incomplete submissions made by representatives. Detailed instructions for the application process are available on the website.

Visa Fee and Application Deadlines

The guidelines specify that visa fees must be paid using the offline payment option provided by the embassy or consulate general.

Importantly, visa fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. Processing the visa may take up to 14 working days from the date of fee receipt.

For normal passport holders, applications submitted through designated visa processing companies will be accepted until December 16, 2024.

For diplomatic and official passports, the deadline is December 24, 2024. The 60-day visa exemption for Indian normal passport holders will remain effective until further notice.

This initiative aims to simplify the visa application process while maintaining clear deadlines and payment rules for applicants.
