Vivo has expanded its Y series by launching two new smartphones in India: the Vivo Y28s and Y28e, both in the affordable segment.
Both smartphones come with MediaTek chipsets and are powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. They will be available for sale on Flipkart.
Vivo Y28s and Y28e launched in India
Vivo has launched the Y28s smartphone in three variants: 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, priced at Rs 13,999, Rs 15,499, and Rs 16,999 respectively.
Both smartphones will be available online on Flipkart, Vivo India e-store, and all retail stores nationwide starting today (July 8, 2024).
The Y28s comes in Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple colors, while the Y28e is available in Vintage Red and Breeze Green.
Vivo Y28s and Y28e Specifications
Display: The Vivo Y28s and Y28e both have a 6.56-inch high brightness sunlight display, offering a peak brightness of 840 nits and a 90Hz refresh rate.
The Y28s features an HD+ LCD display with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the Y28e comes with an HD display.
Camera: The Y28s features a dual rear camera setup with the segment’s first 50 MP Sony IMX 852 camera. In contrast, the Vivo Y28e has a 13MP main camera.
For selfies, the Y28s is equipped with an 8MP portrait camera, while the Y28e has a 5MP portrait camera.
Performance: The Vivo Y28s and Y28e run on the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 5G processor, utilizing a 6nm advanced process and octa-core CPU architecture with speeds up to 2.4 GHz. Both models feature 8GB of RAM, expandable up to 16GB.
Battery and OS: Both smartphones operate on the Android 14 operating system overlaid with Vivo’s Funtouch OS. They are equipped with a 5000 mAh battery supporting 15W fast charging.
