Upcoming cars in India are set to bring several new and updated models to the market as the festive season approaches.
Mahindra, Renault, Tata Motors, Skoda and Honda are preparing new launches and updates across different segments.
The upcoming models include the Mahindra Thar facelift, Renault Triber Turbo, Tata Tigor facelift or Safari EV, Skoda Slavia facelift and Honda Elevate facelift.
These cars are expected to arrive between late September and early October 2026.
Upcoming Cars in India Start With Mahindra Thar
Mahindra is preparing to introduce the facelifted Thar on September 22, 2026. The updated SUV is expected to get a redesigned front grille, new LED headlights, a revised bumper and redesigned alloy wheels.
Inside, the Thar facelift is expected to feature a larger 10.25-inch digital screen, ventilated seats, a wireless phone charger and new seat covers. The existing 1.5-litre, 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine options are expected to continue.
Renault Triber Turbo Gets More Power
Renault is preparing to launch the Triber with a more powerful turbo-petrol engine by the end of September. The engine is the same 1.0-litre turbocharged unit used in the Kiger and Magnite.
The updated Triber is also expected to get a company-fitted CNG option. The CNG cylinders will be positioned beneath the boot floor, helping retain storage space.
Tata May Update Tigor or Launch Safari EV
Tata Motors is expected to unveil a new flagship model on September 25. This could be the facelifted Tigor, although there is also speculation that the company could introduce the Safari EV.
The expected Tigor facelift could receive a redesigned front bumper, slimmer headlights, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree camera and six airbags. The Safari EV, meanwhile, is expected to be positioned as a flagship seven-seater electric SUV.
Skoda Slavia and Honda Elevate Get Updates
Skoda is preparing a facelifted Slavia later this month. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is expected to be paired with a new 8-speed automatic gearbox instead of the existing 6-speed unit.
The updated Slavia is also expected to receive new bumpers, an infotainment system with AI assistance, a 360-degree camera and a rear-seat massage function.
Honda is also preparing the facelifted Elevate for the first week of October, ahead of Diwali. The SUV is expected to get a new front grille, a new 2D Honda logo and updated alloy wheels.
Inside, the updated Elevate is expected to add features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control and ventilated seats. The 1.5-litre petrol engine is expected to continue unchanged.
With several major updates planned around the festive season, these upcoming cars in India could give buyers more choices across SUVs, sedans, MPVs and electric vehicles.
