Thailand has introduced a new long-term visa for Indian travelers called the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV). This special visa is aimed at people who want to live and work remotely while enjoying life in Thailand.
The move is expected to attract digital nomads, freelancers, remote employees, and entrepreneurs from India who are looking for a flexible “work from anywhere” lifestyle.
What is the Destination Thailand Visa?
The new DTV is a 5-year visa that allows travelers to stay in Thailand for up to 180 days in one visit.
If needed, visitors can also extend their stay by another 180 days. This means eligible travelers may be able to spend a much longer time in Thailand without repeatedly applying for short-term visas.
The visa is part of Thailand’s effort to attract international remote workers and long-stay visitors.
