The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for NEET UG 2026 candidates to submit their bank account details for examination fee refund.
The new last date is now June 22, 2026, up to 11:50 pm.
This extension has been made to give more time to students who have not yet completed the process.
According to official data, nearly 13 lakh candidates have already submitted their bank details.
NEET UG 2026 Refund Deadline Extended
As per an official notice issued on May 27, 2026, and shared by NTA on social media platform X, the refund submission window has been reopened for a limited time.
Candidates who still need to submit their details are advised to complete the process through the official NEET UG 2026 registration portal before the deadline.
The NTA has clearly stated that no further extension will be provided after June 22, 2026.

Candidates who have not yet submitted their refund information can follow these simple steps:
Log in to the NEET UG 2026 registration portal
Click on the refund section
Enter bank account details carefully
Upload a cancelled cheque (optional)
Once submitted, the details will be considered final, and no changes will be allowed later.

High-Level Meetings on NEET UG 2026 Issues
Alongside administrative updates, several high-level meetings have been held to review NEET UG 2026 examination security and related concerns.
A key meeting took place at the residence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, where senior ministers and officials discussed the alleged paper leak issue and steps to improve exam transparency and security.
Review of NEET Re-Examination Preparations
In another meeting chaired by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, officials reviewed preparations for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination.
The re-exam is scheduled for June 21, 2026, and will be conducted across more than 5,400 exam centres in 550 cities across India.
CBSE Class 12 Evaluation Also Reviewed
In a separate meeting held at the CBSE headquarters in New Delhi, the Union Education Minister reviewed the ongoing Class 12 evaluation process.
Senior officials from CBSE, the Ministry of Education, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, and other institutions participated in the discussion.
The meeting focused on improving digital systems, speeding up evaluation, and making the re-evaluation and result process more transparent and efficient for students.
