Lava has launched a new budget smartphone in India called the Lava Smart 4. The phone is mainly designed for young users and people buying their first smartphone.
Priced at ₹8,499, the Lava Smart 4 offers a large display, a 5000mAh battery, Android 16 Go and military-grade durability. The smartphone will be available through Lava retail outlets in India.
Large Display and Two Colour Options
The Lava Smart 4 comes with a 6.56-inch qHD display. The large screen can be useful for watching videos, browsing social media, attending online classes and everyday entertainment.
Lava is offering the smartphone in two colour options — Konark Gold and Ajanta Grey.
5000mAh Battery for Everyday Use
The smartphone is powered by the UNISOC SC9863A processor and comes with 3GB RAM. Users can also get up to 3GB of additional virtual RAM for smoother everyday multitasking.
The phone offers 32GB of internal storage. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support through a USB Type-C port.
8MP Rear Camera and Android 16 Go
For photography, the Lava Smart 4 gets an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone supports dual-SIM 4G connectivity. It also includes useful calling features such as conference calling, anonymous call recording and automatic call recording.
The Lava Smart 4 runs on Android 16 Go, which is designed to provide a lightweight and responsive experience on entry-level smartphones.
Lava is also promising two years of security updates, helping users keep the device protected for longer.
Military-Grade Durability
One of the key highlights of the Lava Smart 4 is its durability. The smartphone comes with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification, which is designed to offer better protection against everyday drops and shocks.
Lava is also offering its Free Service at Home facility across India. Customers can purchase the smartphone through offline retailers, with financing options also available through participating sellers.
At ₹8,499, the Lava Smart 4 aims to offer first-time smartphone buyers a simple combination of a large screen, long battery life, basic cameras and durable design.
