With the festival season approaching and Raksha Bandhan next month, budget airline Indigo has announced fare reductions under its low-fare scheme.
The company has lowered fares by about 15%.
If you book now, air tickets for routes like Delhi-Ahmedabad and Raipur will cost less than AC First train fares.
Additionally, the fare for Mumbai-Bengaluru flights has also been reduced.
Under the low-fare scheme, air tickets are now cheaper than AC 1 class train fares to Delhi, Ahmedabad, Raipur, and Bengaluru.
Notably, airfare for these routes is lower than the fare for the Delhi-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express.
Additionally, airfare for other destinations is up to 15% lower than usual. For these routes, the AC 1 class fare is only slightly higher than the regular mail-express fare.

Private travel company operators advise that booking air tickets for August 15th and Raksha Bandhan now will offer significant savings under the low-fare scheme.
IndiGo previously launched a similar low-fare scheme for about two weeks at the end of June during the summer season.
Travelers can take advantage of these reduced fares by booking their tickets now.
The fare will reach this much
During Rakhi each year, trains and flights often become fully booked, causing airfares to rise significantly.
For instance, the fare from Bhopal to Delhi can reach up to Rs 10,000, while flights to Ahmedabad can cost Rs 14,000 and to Raipur Rs 8,500.
Currently, a flight from Bhopal to Mumbai costs Rs 4,500 but can increase to Rs 12,000 during peak times.
There are six flights from Bhopal to Delhi, four to Mumbai, two to Ahmedabad, and one to Raipur.
