During the auspicious month of Sawan, devotees of Bholenath Shiv Shankar eagerly await the Shravani Mela.
This vibrant fair takes place annually in Deoghar, Jharkhand, lasting for an entire month.
To ensure smooth transportation for the devotees, the Railway has taken the initiative to run a special train between Gaya and Jasidih.
Operating on Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, from 21st July 2023 to 29th August 2023, the Shravani Mela Special Train (03688) will commence its journey from Gaya at 5:20 am.
It will stop at various stations, including Tilaiya, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Kiul, Mananpur, Jamui, and Jhajha, before reaching Jasidih at 9:20 am.
Return Journey: Jasidih-Gaya Shravani Mela Special Train
For the convenience of the pilgrims, the special train (03687) will also run from Jasidih to Gaya on the same days.
Departing from Jasidih at 11:05 am, the train will make stops at Jhajha, Jamui, Mananpur, Kiul, Sheikhpura, Nawada, and Tilaiya, before reaching Gaya at 3:30 pm.
The Shravani Mela special train comprises a total of 18 coaches, featuring 10 sleeper coaches, four general class coaches, and two SLR coaches.
It will operate as an unreserved special train, catering to the needs of the devoted travelers.
