LPG e-KYC Deadline has been extended to September 30, 2026, giving Indane, Bharat Gas and HP Gas consumers more time to complete Aadhaar-based biometric authentication. Customers who have not completed the process should check their status and finish the verification before the deadline.
The extension comes after the verification deadline was revised several times. The government has said biometric Aadhaar authentication will be required from October 1 for domestic LPG consumers who want to book refills at the regulated retail selling price with applicable subsidy.

According to the latest reports, consumers who have not completed their biometric authentication have been given another opportunity until September 30. The verification drive covers customers of the major LPG providers, including Indane, Bharat Gas and HP Gas.
The government has been extending the deadline to give consumers additional time to complete the process. As of September 19, 27.43 crore active domestic LPG consumers, or 89.9% of the total, had completed biometric Aadhaar authentication, according to the Petroleum Ministry.
Customers who have already completed the authentication do not need to repeat the process. Their LPG refills can continue under the applicable existing arrangements.

From October 1, consumers who have not completed biometric Aadhaar authentication will not be able to book domestic LPG refills at the regulated retail selling price with applicable subsidy until authentication is completed.
The government has clarified that the purpose of the system is to ensure subsidised LPG reaches genuine eligible households and to prevent duplicate or ineligible connections and diversion of domestic cylinders for commercial use.
Consumers who do not complete the authentication can still receive LPG, but the government says they will have to register their choice through the available oil marketing company channels and receive cylinders at the applicable market price without subsidy, subject to availability.

Consumers can complete biometric authentication in several ways. The process can be completed during LPG delivery, at the distributor’s showroom or through the mobile application of the relevant oil marketing company.
Indane customers can use IndianOil ONE, Bharatgas customers can use HelloBPCL, and HP Gas customers can use the HP PAY app. Consumers can also ask the delivery person to complete the authentication when the cylinder is delivered.
The LPG e-KYC Deadline is particularly important for customers who have not yet completed biometric authentication because the applicable pricing arrangement changes from October 1. Consumers should therefore verify their status rather than assuming that their connection has already been authenticated.

The biometric verification system is intended to link an LPG connection with an Aadhaar-authenticated consumer. The government says this will help remove duplicate and ineligible connections and make subsidy delivery more targeted.
Oil marketing companies have also conducted outreach campaigns, including messages, distributor follow-ups and special camps, to encourage consumers who were still pending verification to complete the process.
For households that have already completed the required authentication, no additional action is required. Those who remain pending should complete the process through their LPG provider’s official channels before the latest deadline.
