Honor has recently launched its latest foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic V2, which has revolutionized the concept of foldable phones.
With a sleek profile measuring just 9.9mm, the Magic V2 is the thinnest folding smartphone ever produced.
This device defies the stereotype of heavy and bulky foldable phones, offering a lightweight and stylish option to consumers.
Let’s delve into the unique features and specifications of this remarkable device.
Exceptional Design and Robust Build
The Honor Magic V2 boasts a premium design that catches the eye with its large rectangular camera module, reminiscent of the Magic VS.
When folded, the phone measures a mere 9.9mm in thickness, but once unfolded, it becomes an astonishingly slim 4.7mm.
In fact, Honor claims that the Magic V2 outshines even the traditional bar phones, surpassing the thickness of the Huawei Mate 50RS.
Moreover, weight is not a concern with the Magic V2.
The plain leather version of the device weighs only 231 grams, while the glass version is a mere 237 grams.
Surprisingly, both versions are lighter than Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max, which weighs 240 grams.
To ensure durability, Honor has employed a state-of-the-art hinge technology known as Luban Titanium Hinge.
This hinge has undergone rigorous testing and obtained the Swiss SGS high-reliability folding quality gold standard certification, guaranteeing its ability to withstand 400,000 folds without any issues.
Additionally, the Magic V2 supports multi-angle hovering, allowing users to comfortably use the phone in various positions.
Features and Specifications of Honor Magic V2
The Honor Magic V2 showcases a 6.43-inch OLED outer screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The panel has also earned the TÜV Rheinland flicker-free certification and offers a peak brightness of 2500 nits.
Inside the device, you’ll find a 7.92-inch OLED panel with a screen ratio of 9.8:9, featuring the same refresh rate and dimming frequency.
Powering the Honor Magic V2 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, but with a twist.
This overclocked version of the processor reaches a maximum frequency of 3.36 GHz, making it more powerful than the regular 3.18 GHz variant.
The same chip can be found in the Samsung Galaxy S23 series and the recently launched Red Magic 8S Pro.
Software and Camera
Running on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13, the Honor Magic V2 offers a smooth and intuitive user experience.
In terms of photography, the phone boasts a 16-megapixel camera on the outer screen, another 16-megapixel camera on the inner screen,
and an impressive rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 20-megapixel telephoto lens.
Battery and Charging
The Magic V2 is equipped with a massive 5000mAh battery, ensuring extended usage time.
Furthermore, it supports 66W fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge their device.
