Honda Launches SP 160 Bike at Competitive Price, Takes on Rivals

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled its latest offering, the Honda SP 160, in the Indian market.

With a starting price of Rs 1.17 lakh in the Delhi showroom, this 160 cc bike enters the market with two distinct variants priced at Rs 1.17 lakh and Rs 1.21 lakh.

Positioned between the Unicorn and the XBlade in terms of pricing, the deliveries of this exciting model are set to commence later this month. Let’s delve into the features that set this bike apart.

The Honda SP 160 shares its engine and main frame with the Unicorn, demonstrating the prowess of platform engineering.

Equipped with a 162.7 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder motor, the SP 160 generates an impressive 13.46 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 14.58 Nm of peak torque.

This engine boasts slight enhancements in horsepower and torque compared to the Unicorn, all while being paired with a seamless 5-speed gearbox.

The SP 160 comes in two variants, each catering to different preferences and requirements. The single disc version, priced at Rs 1.18 lakh, features a 130 mm rear drum brake.

On the other hand, the deluxe variant, available for Rs 1.22 lakh, comes with a 220 mm rear disc brake, offering enhanced stopping power.

Both variants are equipped with a 276mm front disc brake and single-channel ABS as standard, ensuring safety and control on the road.
