Get Rs 10,000 Off Before September 30 on EV Vehicle

The Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) from the Ministry of Heavy Industries is ending on 30 September.

After this date, the subsidy on electric two-wheelers will also stop, making them more expensive to buy.This means customers have only one month left to benefit from this scheme.

Currently, the scheme offers a subsidy of Rs 10,000 on the ex-showroom price of selected electric two-wheelers. The government has not announced any plans to extend the scheme.

Eligible Electric Two-Wheelers and Budget Details

Several premium electric two-wheelers in India are eligible for the EMPS, including the Ather 450X, Ather Rizta, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Vida V1 Pro.

The scheme had a budget of Rs 778 crore for electric two-wheelers, covering up to 500,080 vehicles.

This subsidy has provided some financial relief to electric vehicle (EV) buyers. People are waiting to see if the government will continue the scheme.

The Ather Rizta offers two battery pack options:

2.9 kWh Battery Pack: Provides a range of 123 km and takes 6.40 hours to charge.

3.7 kWh Battery Pack: Offers a range of 160 km and charges in 4.30 hours.

All variants have a top speed of 80 km/h. The ex-showroom prices for its three variants are Rs 109,999, Rs 124,999, and Rs 144,999.

The Rizta is available in seven colors, including four dual-tone and three single-tone options. The company also offers a 3-year or 30,000 km warranty on the battery and scooter.
