BSNL Prepares for 5G Service launch

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been in the spotlight recently for its efforts to improve its telecom services.

From updating its recharge plans to enhancing its 4G network, this government-run telecom company is gearing up to compete with private players.

In an important update, BSNL is now preparing to launch its 5G services soon.

5G Service Expected by January 2025

According to a report by The Hindu, L. Srinu, Principal General Manager of Andhra Pradesh, announced that BSNL is planning to launch its 5G services by January 2025.

To make this possible, the company is focusing on upgrading its infrastructure, including towers and other essential equipment, to support 5G technology.

4G to 5G Conversion Underway

BSNL is also working on converting its existing 4G services to 5G, which means that the transition will not require significant investment.

The 5G rollout will begin in areas where BSNL’s 4G services are already available, and the upgrade process will be completed in phases.

Teasers and User Anticipation

Recently, BSNL released a video teasing the launch of its 4G network in Mumbai and Delhi.

Although the company has not specified which cities will get 5G services first, the video featured both BSNL

and MTNL logos, with a focus on high-speed connectivity. Users are now eagerly awaiting the rollout of BSNL’s 5G services.
