Akasa Air has temporarily suspended its flights from Noida International Airport to Navi Mumbai and Bengaluru, just a month after starting operations from the airport.

According to airline officials, the suspension came into effect on Monday.

However, the airline has confirmed that flights on the Noida–Navi Mumbai route are expected to resume from October 1.

Akasa Air Started Services in June

Akasa Air had launched its non-stop Noida–Navi Mumbai and Noida–Bengaluru flights on June 16, shortly after commercial operations began at Noida International Airport.

The launch came just one day after IndiGo started its services from the airport.

While the Bengaluru route has been suspended for now, the airline says it plans to restart the Navi Mumbai service later this year to improve connectivity between the two newly developed airports.

IndiGo Expanding Its Network from Noida Airport

IndiGo was the first airline to begin commercial operations from Noida International Airport.

The airline has announced plans to operate direct flights to more than 16 domestic destinations from the airport.

It has also introduced one-stop connections between several city pairs, including:

Amritsar–Jodhpur

Bareilly–Bhopal

Chandigarh–Bareilly

Chandigarh–Kishangarh

Chandigarh–Pantnagar

Jammu–Jodhpur

Jaipur–Dharamshala

Kishangarh–Bhopal

The expanded network is expected to improve connectivity between Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and major metropolitan areas across India.

Noida International Airport Set to Become a Major Aviation Hub

Noida International Airport was inaugurated in March 2025 as the second international airport serving the Delhi-NCR region.

Located along the Yamuna Expressway, the airport has been developed to handle growing passenger traffic and improve air connectivity in northern India.

As more airlines begin operations and new routes are added, the airport is expected to become an important aviation and logistics hub for the region in the coming years.
