Lava has launched a new budget 5G smartphone in India.
The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G is the third phone in the company’s Virat series and joins the existing Virat V1 5G and Virat V1 4G.
The new smartphone comes with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and a large 6,000mAh battery.
It also features a 120Hz display and a dual rear camera setup.
The phone will soon be available for purchase through Flipkart.
Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G Price And Sale Date
The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 15,999 in India.
It comes in a single configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Lava is also offering a bank discount of up to Rs 2,000, which can bring the effective price down to Rs 13,999 for eligible buyers.
The smartphone will go on sale on August 31 at 12 noon through Flipkart.
It is available in two colour options: Sikkim Midnight and Spiti Frost.
Large 6.75-Inch Display With 120Hz Refresh Rate
The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels.
The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and animations smoother compared with standard 60Hz displays.
The display has a pixel density of 260 ppi.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the octa-core Unisoc T8200 chipset, with a peak clock speed of 2.6GHz.
It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and runs on Android 16.
50MP Camera And 6,000mAh Battery
For photography, the smartphone gets a dual rear camera setup housed inside a square-shaped camera module.
The main camera is a 50-megapixel AI camera with fixed focus, while Lava has not specified the details of the secondary rear camera.
For selfies and video calls, the phone has an 8-megapixel front camera.
One of the biggest highlights is its 6,000mAh battery, which is designed to provide longer usage between charges.
The phone also comes with an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.
5G Connectivity And Other Features
As the name suggests, the Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G supports 5G connectivity along with 4G LTE.
Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and a USB Type-C port.
For security, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The list of sensors includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.
The handset measures 168.29 x 77.64 x 8.68mm and weighs around 207 grams.
