Process for Obtaining Your Child’s Aadhaar Card:
- Visit the Nearest Aadhaar Center: To obtain an Aadhaar card for your child below five years of age, visit the nearest Aadhaar center.
- Online Registration: Alternatively, you can also register online for your child’s Aadhaar.
- Documentation: Unlike adults, the fingerprints and retina of small children are not scanned. Instead, you will need to provide the child’s birth certificate.
In the absence of a birth certificate, a hospital’s discharge certificate or ID card can be used. Additionally, one of the parents must possess a valid ID document such as Aadhaar card, Voter’s ID card, Driver’s License, or Passport.
Updating Aadhaar Card After 5 Years:
If your child’s Aadhaar card is obtained before the age of five, it will remain valid until your child turns five years old. After reaching the age of five, you will need to update the Aadhaar card.
This update process includes capturing the child’s fingerprints and retina scan, and a nominal fee may be charged for this service.
