Tech Mahindra Dividend 2026 has brought two major announcements for shareholders, with the IT company declaring an interim dividend of ₹15 per share and recommending a 1:1 bonus share issue alongside its second-quarter results.

The company reported strong year-on-year growth in profit and revenue for the July-September quarter of the 2026-27 financial year.

The record date for the interim dividend has been fixed as October 23, 2026, while the payment is scheduled to be completed by November 13.

The proposed bonus issue is subject to shareholder approval, and its record date will be announced separately.

These announcements are relevant to investors tracking dividend income and corporate actions.

However, shareholders should distinguish between the declared dividend and the proposed bonus shares, as the two have different procedures and eligibility requirements.

Tech Mahindra Dividend 2026: Record Date and Payment

Tech Mahindra has declared an interim dividend of ₹15 for every equity share with a face value of ₹5.

This represents a dividend equivalent to 300% of the share’s face value for the financial year 2026-27.

The record date is October 23, 2026. Investors whose names appear in the relevant company or depository records at the end of business on that date, subject to the applicable rules, will be eligible to receive the dividend.

The company has scheduled payment by November 13, 2026. Eligible shareholders should ensure that their demat account and bank details are accurate to help avoid payment-related issues.

Investors considering buying shares specifically for the dividend should also account for the applicable settlement and ex-dividend rules.

A dividend announcement does not guarantee a profit from purchasing a stock, as its market price can change.

What Does the 1:1 Bonus Share Issue Mean?

Tech Mahindra’s board has recommended a 1:1 bonus issue, under which eligible shareholders would receive one additional fully paid-up equity share for every existing share held.

The proposal remains subject to shareholder approval through the prescribed process.

For example, an investor holding 100 eligible shares would receive another 100 shares if the bonus issue is approved and the investor qualifies under the final terms. The investor would then hold 200 shares.

However, a bonus issue does not automatically double the value of an investment. Although the number of shares increases, the market price typically adjusts to reflect the higher number of shares outstanding, all else being equal.

The company has not yet announced the bonus issue’s record date.

Investors should wait for the official announcement rather than assume that the dividend record date will also determine eligibility for the bonus shares.

Tech Mahindra Q2 Results Show Higher Profit

Tech Mahindra reported consolidated net profit of ₹1,585.6 crore for the September quarter, up 32.7% from ₹1,194.5 crore in the corresponding quarter a year earlier.

Revenue from operations increased 15.6% year-on-year to ₹16,180.2 crore.

The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 32.8% to ₹2,878.5 crore. The results indicate higher earnings alongside revenue growth during the quarter.

The company also reported total deal wins with a contract value of $1.023 billion, marking its fourth consecutive quarter with deal wins exceeding $1 billion.

Management highlighted business momentum, margin expansion and investment in artificial intelligence as important areas for the company’s growth strategy.

The quarterly performance provides context for the dividend and bonus announcements, but investors should evaluate the company’s financial position, business outlook and share valuation before making investment decisions.

What Shareholders Should Check Next

Shareholders should keep track of two separate developments: the October 23 record date for the interim dividend and the future announcements concerning the proposed bonus issue.

The dividend payment is scheduled by November 13, while the bonus issue requires shareholder approval and a separately announced record date.

Investors should refer to the company’s official disclosures for final eligibility conditions, payment details and the timetable for the bonus issue.

Market prices can fluctuate after earnings announcements and corporate actions, so neither the dividend nor the bonus issue guarantees a particular investment return.

For existing shareholders, the immediate priority is to verify dividend eligibility and follow the company’s subsequent announcements regarding the proposed bonus shares.
