Lucknow Bangkok Direct Flights to Resume This Winter, bringing a convenient international travel option back for passengers flying from Uttar Pradesh’s capital to Thailand.
The resumption is part of the upcoming winter flight schedule, which will also see an increase in daily flight movements at Lucknow airport.
The development is expected to offer travellers another option for planning trips between Lucknow and Bangkok.
Direct flights can make international journeys more convenient by eliminating the need for passengers to change planes at an intermediate airport.
Lucknow Bangkok Direct Flights Resume on November 17
The direct service between Lucknow and Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport is scheduled to resume on November 17, 2026.
Thai AirAsia will operate the route, restoring the connection after a suspension that began on June 5.
The service is scheduled to arrive in Lucknow at 10:35 pm and depart at 11:30 pm, according to airport sources. Passengers should check the airline’s latest timetable before booking, as flight schedules may change.
The resumption will give travellers from Lucknow and nearby areas another international travel option, particularly those planning holidays, family visits or other trips to Thailand.
A nonstop connection can also eliminate the need for a connecting flight through another city.
Lucknow Airport to Handle 134 Daily Flight Movements
Alongside the Bangkok route, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is preparing to increase its daily flight movements from 108 to 134 under the winter schedule.
This represents an increase of 26 daily movements.
The winter schedule is set to begin on October 25 and will be fully implemented by November 1.
Under the revised timetable, the airport is expected to connect passengers with 20 domestic and 10 international destinations, including Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.
The expansion is based on schedules submitted by airlines, meaning actual flight movements and timings may vary depending on operational requirements.
Travellers should confirm their departure times with their respective airlines before heading to the airport.
Airport Prepares for Winter Fog and Flight Disruptions
Winter operations also bring challenges for airports in northern India, particularly when dense fog and low visibility affect take-offs and landings.
Lucknow airport is preparing for these conditions to support safer and more coordinated flight operations.
The airport has held a coordination meeting on Pre-Low Visibility Procedures with airline representatives, Air Traffic Control, the Airports Authority of India and other stakeholders.
The discussions focused on preparedness and coordination during periods of poor visibility.
Airport sources also reported that Lucknow handled around 149 flights diverted from other airports since January 2026 amid operational disruptions.
This highlights the airport’s role in managing diverted traffic when services at other airports face difficulties.
For passengers, the return of Lucknow Bangkok Direct Flights and the expanded winter timetable offer additional travel options.
However, those planning trips should monitor flight updates, especially during the winter months when weather conditions can affect operations.
