HMD has launched its new 5G smartphone, the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G, in India. The new phone is the Pro model in the Vibe2 series
and comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 64MP Sony camera, 120Hz display and a 6000mAh battery.
The smartphone also features Sarvam AI’s Indus AI assistant, which can work in more than 22 Indian languages. The first sale will begin on Flipkart from October 8, 2026, during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale.
HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G Price
The HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G has been launched in two RAM and storage variants. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at ₹15,999, while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs ₹17,999.
As part of a limited-time launch offer, customers can buy the 6GB model for ₹14,999 and the 8GB model for ₹16,999.
The phone will be available in Silver Mist, Aqua Green and Cosmic Purple colour options. Its first sale will start on October 8 through Flipkart.
HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G Specifications
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core chipset with 5G support. Both variants offer 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.
For photography, the phone has a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary camera and a 2MP macro camera.
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone comes with a 13MP front camera.
Display and Battery
The HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G features a 6.78-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate can provide smoother scrolling, app navigation and gaming.
The smartphone packs a 6000mAh battery and supports 33W wired fast charging. This large battery is designed to provide longer usage between charges.
Software and AI Features
The HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G runs on Android 16. HMD says the phone is expected to receive two years of security updates.
One of the key features of the device is Sarvam AI’s Indus AI assistant, which supports more than 22 Indian languages.
The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, dual microphones, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G Sale Date
The first sale of the HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G will begin on October 8, 2026, through Flipkart. The sale will coincide with the Flipkart Big Billion Days event.
With a 120Hz display, 6000mAh battery, 64MP Sony camera and 5G connectivity, the new smartphone adds another option to HMD’s lineup in the Indian market.
