Lava has launched another new 5G smartphone in India. The new Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G comes with a large 6000mAh battery, 50MP AI rear camera, 120Hz display and Vayu AI assistant.
The smartphone has been launched at ₹16,699 and will be available through offline retailers and service providers. It comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G Price and Design
The Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G is available in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The phone is priced at ₹16,699.
According to Lava, the smartphone is available through offline retailers and service providers with financial schemes. It comes in Akash Blue and Nanda Silver colour options.
The company has also focused on giving the phone a premium-looking design despite its affordable price.
Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G Display and Performance
The smartphone features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the screen has an HD+ resolution instead of Full HD+.
For performance, the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G uses a Unisoc T8200 octa-core processor. The phone has 6GB RAM and supports up to 6GB of additional virtual RAM.
It comes with 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.
Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G Battery
The smartphone packs a 6000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. The large battery is aimed at providing longer usage for users who spend considerable time on their phones.
50MP AI Camera Features
For photography, the phone gets a 50MP AI rear camera. The camera supports features including Night Mode, HDR, Portrait, Film and Pro Mode.
The phone also supports Motion Photo and Dual-View Video, allowing users to record video from two different angles at the same time.
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone comes with an 8MP front camera.
5G and Other Features
The Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G supports dual 5G SIM cards, allowing users to use two 5G SIMs simultaneously. It also supports Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity.
For security, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock. The smartphone also carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.
Lava has promised an Android OS upgrade along with two years of security updates.
Android 16 and Vayu AI
The Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G runs on Android 16 and comes with a bloatware-free user interface. This means Lava has focused on keeping the number of pre-installed apps to a minimum.
One of the key features of the phone is Vayu AI, Lava’s AI companion. The feature adds AI-based functionality to the smartphone while keeping the device positioned in the affordable 5G segment.
