Renault Triber Turbo has been launched in India with a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, giving the seven-seater MPV a more powerful engine option.
The new version starts at Rs 7.84 lakh, ex-showroom, and is available with a five-speed manual gearbox.
Renault Triber Turbo Gets New Engine
The new turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine produces around 100 hp and 180 Nm of torque.
Renault claims the Triber Turbo can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 10.8 seconds, while its claimed fuel efficiency is 21 kmpl.
The turbo engine is offered with the Evolution, Techno and Emotion variants. Prices extend up to Rs 8.99 lakh, ex-showroom, for the top Emotion Turbo variant.
Renault Triber Turbo Keeps Seven-Seat Layout
The new Renault Triber Turbo retains its seven-seat layout and familiar MPV design.
The model continues with features such as LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, roof rails and a dedicated Turbo badge.
Inside, the car gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging and automatic climate control. Rear passengers also get dedicated air-conditioning vents.
The Triber offers 625 litres of luggage capacity when the third row is folded. It also retains the flexible seating arrangement that allows the third row to be removed.
Safety Features in the New Triber
The Renault Triber Turbo gets six airbags, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, stability and traction controls, hill-start assist, tyre-pressure monitoring and child-seat anchors.
Depending on the variant, front parking sensors and a rear-view camera are also available.
Renault has also made engineering changes to the vehicle, including revised suspension geometry, anti-roll bars, damping technology, braking calibration and thermal management for the turbo-petrol powertrain.
Renault Triber Turbo Price and Variants
The turbo-petrol version starts with the Evolution variant at Rs 7.84 lakh, while the Techno Turbo costs Rs 8.53 lakh. The Emotion Turbo is priced at Rs 8.99 lakh, with all prices being ex-showroom.
The standard Triber range continues with the naturally aspirated petrol engine, while the AMT option remains available on the naturally aspirated Emotion variant.
The newly launched turbo version is currently offered with a five-speed manual transmission.
The Renault Triber Turbo therefore adds a higher-powered engine option to the existing seven-seat MPV range while retaining its family-oriented cabin layout and equipment package.
