Buying branded gold jewellery has become easier than before. Now, even people with small savings can invest in and buy branded gold jewellery.
Several major jewellery companies have partnered with fintech companies to make gold purchases easier for customers, including those from low-income families.
Paytm Partners with CaratLane
CaratLane has partnered with Paytm to make it easier for customers to use their digital gold investments to buy jewellery.
Paytm users can use the digital gold they have accumulated through the platform to pay for CaratLane jewellery.
For example, suppose you have invested a total of ₹6,000 in digital gold through Paytm. If you choose jewellery worth ₹8,000 from CaratLane, ₹6,000 will be paid using your digital gold investment.
You can pay the remaining ₹2,000 through UPI, credit card, debit card or net banking.
CaratLane Also Offers Home Delivery
Customers can also get their CaratLane gold jewellery delivered to their homes. This service is available in several cities. The company packs and ships the jewellery to the customer’s address.
Paytm users can check their order confirmation, tracking information and purchase details through the Paytm app. This makes the complete process more transparent.
In this way, customers can use their small savings to buy branded gold jewellery of their choice.
Zen Diamond’s My Gold Multiplier Plan
Zen Diamond India has launched the My Gold Multiplier Plan to make gold investment easier. Under this plan, customers can make monthly contributions and later purchase 999 fine hallmarked gold jewellery.
According to the company’s MD, Neil Sonawala, customers can use their investment to buy gold jewellery when the plan reaches maturity.
They will also receive a reward equal to 30% of the value of the gold from the company. Customers can also use their own 24-carat gold when they redeem the plan.
InstaOne EMI Program
Zen Diamonds has also launched the InstaOne EMI program. The company says that this program offers zero-cost, zero-down-payment and zero-interest EMI options.
Customers also get a 1-gram gold coin for every ₹90,000 spent at the company’s stores. These schemes from CaratLane
and Zen Diamonds give customers more options to invest in and purchase branded gold jewellery through small savings or monthly payments.
Things to Know Before Using These Schemes
Customers should keep one important thing in mind before using such schemes. These schemes are not regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
This means that if a customer has a dispute with the company, they cannot approach the RBI to file a complaint about the scheme. However, such disputes do not usually occur.
