Apple has increased the prices of its Apple TV+ subscription plans in the US. Both the monthly and annual plans now cost more,
and the Apple One Individual plan has also become more expensive. However, there is no price hike for users in India at the moment.
If you watch Apple Originals and popular shows on Apple TV+, you’ll now have to pay more if you’re subscribing in the US.
Monthly and Annual Apple TV+ Plans Cost More
The Apple TV+ monthly plan in the US has increased from $13 to $15, meaning users will pay $2 more every month.
The annual plan has also become more expensive. It now costs $120, up from $100, which is a $20 increase.
Apple One Individual Plan Also Gets a Price Hike
Apple has also increased the price of its Apple One Individual subscription.
The plan now costs $22 per month, compared to the earlier $20 per month. This bundle includes Apple TV+ along with other Apple services.
For now, Apple has not changed the prices of the Apple One Family and Premier plans.
Existing Users Will Get Time Before Paying More
The new prices apply immediately for new subscribers.
Existing Apple TV+ users will not be charged the higher price right away.
Apple will notify current subscribers about one month in advance, giving them time to decide whether they want to continue with the service.
Apple TV+ Prices Have Increased Again
This is the fourth price increase in four years for Apple TV+ in the US. Since the service launched in 2019, the monthly subscription price has nearly tripled.
The company is believed to be raising prices to cover higher content production and streaming costs.
Streaming Services Are Becoming More Expensive
Apple is not the only company increasing subscription prices.
Streaming platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube Premium have also raised their prices this year.
As a result, subscribing to multiple streaming services is becoming more expensive, and users may continue to see more price hikes in the future.
