If you have an LPG gas connection at home and haven’t completed your e-KYC yet, you now have more time.

Oil marketing companies have extended the e-KYC deadline from August 16 to August 23, 2026.

The deadline was extended after many customers faced technical problems such as app crashes, server downtime, and long waiting times.

This gives consumers extra time to complete the verification without rushing.

Why Was the Deadline Extended?

Initially, LPG consumers were asked to complete their e-KYC by August 16. However, a large number of people tried to finish the process at the same time, causing heavy traffic on the gas companies’ apps and servers.

Many users reported that the apps were not working properly, while gas agencies also saw long queues.

In several cases, customers had to wait for hours but still couldn’t complete their e-KYC because of server issues.

Complete Your e-KYC Before August 23

LPG consumers can now complete their e-KYC until August 23, 2026.

If you have already completed the process, you do not need to do it again. You can check your e-KYC status through your gas company’s official mobile app or by visiting your LPG agency.

Missing the deadline will not immediately cancel your gas connection. However, it may affect your eligibility for the government LPG subsidy, meaning you could have to buy cylinders at the full price.

How to Complete LPG e-KYC from Home

You can complete your e-KYC using your gas company’s official mobile app by following these steps:

Download the official LPG company app and log in using the mobile number linked to your gas connection.

Open the e-KYC or Aadhaar Verification section and enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.

Complete the Aadhaar-based face authentication process.

Once the verification is successful, you will see a confirmation message on the screen. You may also receive an SMS.

Other Ways to Complete e-KYC

If you are unable to complete e-KYC through the app, you can visit your nearest LPG gas agency. The verification can be completed there using fingerprint-based biometric authentication.

In some areas, LPG delivery personnel also carry biometric devices that allow customers to complete e-KYC at their doorstep.

Facing Server Issues? Try During Off-Peak Hours

If the app keeps showing server errors, try completing your e-KYC late at night or early in the morning. Server traffic is usually lower during these hours, increasing the chances of a smooth and successful verification.
