If you are planning to buy a new Motorola smartphone, you may have to spend more money now. Motorola has increased the prices of several popular smartphones in India, including models from its Edge and G series.
The price hike affects both online and offline sales channels. While the company has not officially revealed the reason behind the increase, industry experts believe rising component costs could be a major factor.
Moto G37 Power Gets the Biggest Price Hike
The biggest shock has come for buyers interested in the Moto G37 Power. This smartphone has received the highest price increase among all affected models.
The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, which was earlier available for ₹15,999, now costs ₹21,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model has jumped from ₹18,999 to ₹27,999.
This means some variants of the Moto G37 Power have become costlier by as much as ₹9,000.
The standard Moto G37 has also seen a major increase. Its 4GB + 64GB variant, previously priced at ₹13,999, now costs ₹18,999, making it ₹5,000 more expensive than before.
Edge Series Also Affected by Price Increase
Motorola’s premium Edge series has not been spared from the latest price revision.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has become costlier by ₹2,000 to ₹4,000 depending on the variant. The 8GB + 128GB model now costs ₹30,999 instead of ₹26,999.
The top-end 12GB + 512GB variant is now priced at ₹38,999, compared to its earlier price of ₹35,999.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro has received a smaller increase. Both variants are now ₹1,000 more expensive. The 8GB + 256GB version now costs ₹39,999, while the 12GB + 256GB model is available for ₹42,999.
Moto G67 Power and G57 Power Also Cost More
The Moto G67 Power has also received a notable price hike. The 8GB + 128GB variant has gone up from ₹20,999 to ₹22,999. The 12GB + 256GB model now costs ₹27,999, compared to its earlier price of ₹22,999.
Similarly, the Moto G57 Power has become ₹2,000 more expensive. Its 8GB + 128GB variant now carries a price tag of ₹21,999 instead of ₹19,999.
