Delhi-NCR and North India to See Rain on Feb 2–3

The weather is changing again in North India, including Delhi-NCR. Due to two active western disturbances, rain and snowfall are expected in many parts of the country on February 2 and 3.

to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this change in weather may cause temperatures to drop.

The IMD has said that light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur in the western Himalayan region and high-altitude areas. Rain is also expected in some parts of northwest and central India.

States Where Rain Is Likely

The weather may remain unstable in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana, eastern Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.

February 2–3 Weather Alert

On February 2 and 3, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand may experience rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds of up to 50 kmph.

Light to moderate rain with strong winds is also expected in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, eastern Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

Weather Conditions in Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh, rain may occur in some districts, while dense fog may develop in other areas. The Meteorological Department has also issued warnings for rain, hail, and lightning.

Weather Update in Madhya Pradesh

Many districts in Madhya Pradesh, including Rajgarh, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Gwalior, Chambal division, and Bundelkhand areas, may experience storms, rain, and hailstorms.

Situation in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh

In Jammu and Kashmir, the weather is expected to remain unstable until February 10.

In Himachal Pradesh, snowfall has been recorded in high-altitude areas such as Shimla and Kullu. Rain in Manali has also increased the cold.

Weather in Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana

In Rajasthan, rain and hail are expected on February 2 and 3.
Rain and fog alerts have been issued for several districts in Punjab. Haryana has also recently reported hailstorms.
