Navi UPI has taken a big step toward making metro travel faster and more convenient.
By integrating with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC Network), Navi now allows passengers in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to buy QR metro tickets directly from the Navi app.
Cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi will also get this feature soon.
With this update, users can plan their route, book QR tickets, and make UPI payments all in one app.
This removes the need for standing in long ticket queues or downloading multiple apps for different metro systems.
One App, One QR, Zero Hassle
Rajiv Naresh, MD and CEO of Navi Limited, said that more than 10 million people use the metro daily, yet many still depend on cash and physical queues.
The Navi–ONDC partnership aims to change this by offering a smooth, fully digital travel experience.
ONDC’s Senior Executive Director, Nitin Nair, added that Navi’s integration shows how open networks can improve India’s digital mobility ecosystem.
With just one integration, Navi now supports QR ticketing across five major metro networks, and more platforms adopting this model will create even greater benefits for passengers.
Available in Major Metro Cities
Right now, the QR ticketing feature is live in:
Delhi Metro
Mumbai Metro (Lines 1, 2A, 7, and 3)
Bengaluru Metro
Navi UPI will soon expand this feature to additional cities and even other modes of public transport.
The goal is to make everyday commutes fully digital and far more convenient.
India’s metro network serves around 11.5 million passengers daily, and nearly 40% still use paper tickets or cash.
Navi hopes to increase digital adoption and improve the travel experience for millions of commuters.
