boAt Gets SEBI Nod for IPO at ₹13,000 Crore Valuation (IPO Details)

India’s leading electronics brand boAt is set to enter the stock market soon. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has approved the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of boAt’s parent company, Imagine Marketing. This approval was mentioned in a document released on Tuesday, September 2.

Confidential Filing Done in April 2025

boAt had confidentially submitted its IPO application to SEBI in April 2025. As per reports, the company is planning to launch its IPO at a valuation of around ₹13,000 crore.

Second Attempt at IPO After 2022

This is not boAt’s first attempt to go public. Back in January 2022, the company had filed for an IPO worth ₹2,000 crore, which included:

A fresh issue of ₹900 crore

boAt Uses Confidential Pre-Filing Route

For this IPO, boAt has chosen the confidential pre-filing route, which has become popular among Indian companies recently. In fact, companies like Swiggy and Vishal Mega Mart also used this method for their IPOs in 2024.

What Is the Confidential Pre-Filing Route?

Experts say this route offers more flexibility. Here’s how it differs from the traditional IPO process:

Companies get up to 18 months to launch their IPO after SEBI’s approval (vs. 12 months in the traditional route)

The issue size can be modified by up to 50% before filing the final document (UDRHP)

This helps companies reduce pressure and plan better.

12 Other Companies Also Get SEBI’s IPO Approval

boAt is not the only company to receive SEBI’s nod. 12 other companies have also received IPO approval, including:

Urban Company

Juniper Green Energy

Alchem Lifescience

Omnitech Engineering

KSH International

Ravi Infrabuild Projects

Mori Tech
