The Innova Hycross is far more budget-friendly than the Fortuner. The Fortuner is priced between ₹35.37 lakh and ₹51.94 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Hycross starts at just ₹19.94 lakh (excluding fleet versions) and goes up to ₹32.58 lakh.
Even the strong-hybrid variants start at ₹26.46 lakh, which is about half the cost of the Fortuner’s top model. The 8-seater hybrid versions are priced from ₹26.51 lakh.
Toyota Innova Hycross Powertrains
The Hycross offers two engine options. One is a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with a CVT, making 175 PS and 209 Nm.
The other is a 2.0-litre strong hybrid engine with an e-CVT, producing a combined 186 PS and 188 Nm.
Toyota Innova Hycross Mileage
Fuel efficiency is a key strength of the Hycross. Thanks to its hybrid engine, it delivers a claimed mileage of 23.24 kmpl—almost as much as compact hatchbacks like the Alto K10, which gives 24.9 kmpl.

The Hycross is packed with modern features. It has a 10-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and luxurious second-row ottoman seats for extra comfort.

When it comes to safety, the Hycross is well-equipped. It includes ADAS features, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and vehicle stability control (VSC). It also received a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP.
