TVS Jupiter CNG: TVS to Launch World’s First CNG Scooter, Travel Cost Rs 1 per KM

How Far Can Jupiter CNG Go on 1 kg of CNG?

TVS Jupiter CNG is said to be the world’s first scooter powered by CNG. The company claims its running cost will be less than Rs 1 per kilometer.

It comes with a 1.4 kg CNG tank placed under the seat. According to TVS, this scooter can travel 84 kilometers on just 1 kg of CNG. When the tank is full, it can run up to 226 kilometers.

Powertrain Details of TVS Jupiter CNG

The Jupiter CNG features an OBD2B-compliant 125cc bio-fuel engine. This engine delivers 5.3 kW power at 6000 rpm and 9.4 Nm torque at 5500 rpm.

Features of Jupiter CNG

This scooter includes LED headlights, a USB charger, stand cut-off switch, and Bluetooth connectivity. It is designed to be eco-friendly and fuel-efficient.

It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and offers a disc brake option. Since it’s built specifically for CNG, it also has special parts like a plastic panel with a pressure gauge and a filler nozzle.

Expected Price of TVS Jupiter CNG

TVS Jupiter CNG is expected to be priced affordably for the average buyer. Reports suggest an ex-showroom price between Rs 90,000 and Rs 1,00,000.

It might cost a little more than the regular petrol version due to the CNG tank, which may also reduce boot space slightly.

For comparison, the current TVS Jupiter 125 petrol version is priced between Rs 88,174 and Rs 99,015 depending on the variant.
