FASTag Annual Pass Launched, Where You Can Use It –(Highway & Expressway List)

If you often travel long distances by road, the government’s new FASTag Annual Pass can save you time and money.

Launched on 15 August, this new initiative allows frequent travellers to drive toll-free on selected national highways and expressways.

What is the FASTag Annual Pass?

The FASTag Annual Pass is a prepaid service for private vehicles, allowing toll-free travel across certain major routes.

Cost: ₹3,000

Valid for: 200 trips or 12 months, whichever comes first

Who can use it: Only private (non-commercial) vehicles

Who can’t use it: Commercial vehicles are not eligible

This pass is ideal for people who regularly commute or travel long distances, either for work or personal reasons.

Where Will the FASTag Annual Pass Work?

The pass is not valid everywhere, but it will work on several major national highways and expressways managed by the central government. Here’s the list:

National Highways Included:

  1. NH 44 – From Srinagar to Kanyakumari

  2. NH 19 – From Delhi to Kolkata

  3. NH 16 – From Kolkata to Andhra Pradesh coast

  4. NH 48 – Known as the North–South Corridor

  5. NH 27 – From Porbandar to Silchar

  6. NH 65 – From Pune to Machilipatnam

  7. NH 3 – From Agra to Mumbai

  8. NH 11 – From Agra to Bikaner

Expressways Included:

Delhi–Mumbai Expressway

Mumbai–Nashik Expressway

Mumbai–Surat Expressway

Mumbai–Ratnagiri Expressway

Chennai–Salem Expressway

Delhi–Meerut Expressway

Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway

Eastern Peripheral Expressway

Where the Pass Will Not Work

The FASTag Annual Pass will not be valid on:

State highways operated by state governments

Privately managed expressways

In these areas, you’ll still need to pay tolls using regular FASTag or cash.
