Document Rules Changed by Delhi Government

The Delhi government has revised the list of documents needed under its free lab test scheme. This update was shared in a gazette notification released on May 20, 2025.

The scheme covers the cost of essential lab tests for patients at government hospitals, dispensaries, polyclinics, and mohalla clinics in Delhi. These tests are funded by the government and are free for patients.

Aadhaar Now Compulsory

As per the new rules in the notification, Aadhaar is now mandatory to benefit from this scheme. You must either show your Aadhaar number or verify your identity using it.

If you don’t have an Aadhaar card yet, you need to apply for one. For minor children, Aadhaar enrollment will be done with the permission of a parent or guardian.

If someone doesn’t have Aadhaar, they can still use the scheme, but they must submit certain required documents.
