Maruti Suzuki has updated its luxury SUV, the Grand Vitara, which is part of the Nexa portfolio. One major change is the discontinuation of the 1.5-litre CNG bi-fuel engine.
This CNG option was earlier available in the Mid Delta and Zeta variants, priced at ₹13.25 lakh and ₹15.21 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
The CNG engine delivered 88PS of power, 122Nm of torque, and a mileage of up to 26.60 km/kg.
In place of the CNG option, the company has introduced more variants of the Strong Hybrid model.
Earlier, this hybrid powertrain was limited to Zeta Plus and Alpha Plus variants. Now, it’s available in five variants:

Alpha Plus (O)
The “(O)” variants are priced ₹60,000 higher and include premium features like a panoramic sunroof.
Maruti has also improved the drivetrain options. Just like the Toyota Hyryder, the 2025 Grand Vitara now offers a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with the all-wheel drive (AWD) variant.
The earlier 5-speed manual transmission with AWD is no longer offered.
Safety and Pricing Updates in 2025 Grand Vitara
The 2025 Grand Vitara has received a boost in safety features. All variants now come standard with six airbags, along with:

ABS with EBD
3-point seatbelts for all passengers
Hill-hold assist
ISOFIX child seat mounts
