Google has introduced its AI-powered Gemini app in India, now available for Android phones.
This app supports 9 Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Evolution from Bard AI to Gemini
In February, Google rebranded its Bard AI chatbot as Gemini and subsequently launched it as a standalone app.
Users in India had to wait approximately four months for the release of this dedicated app, promising enhanced usability of the chatbot.

Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai announced the launch of the Gemini app in India through a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He highlighted that the app is now available in English and the aforementioned 9 Indian languages, with plans to integrate these languages into Gemini Advanced along with other new features.
How to Download the Google Gemini App
To download the Google Gemini app, follow these steps:
1) Go to the Google Play Store.
2) Type ‘Google Gemini’ in the search bar and search.
3) Locate the app and proceed to download and install it.
For iOS users, access to Gemini will be available directly through the Google app in the coming weeks.
The Gemini app enhances online search capabilities and includes advanced features, allowing users to search using voice commands in hands-free mode.
