Arattai for Business has been launched by Zoho as a business-focused version of its homegrown messaging platform.
The new service is designed to help companies communicate with customers and send important updates and service-related messages.
The launch comes as businesses face changes in the pricing of some WhatsApp Business messages.
Zoho has also introduced the Arattai Business Platform, which allows businesses to connect their existing software and automation systems with Arattai.
Arattai for Business Brings Customer Chat
Arattai for Business is designed to make communication between businesses and customers easier. Companies can use the platform to send messages related to services, updates and other customer interactions.
Zoho has also introduced a separate Arattai Business Platform for software integration. It is intended to allow businesses to connect existing systems and automation tools with Arattai instead of managing customer messaging across multiple systems.
Zoho has not yet disclosed full details about all features and business plans. Companies considering the platform will need to check the available features and pricing before adopting it.
Free Messaging for Government Services
Zoho has said the Arattai Business Platform will be free for government departments and organisations that provide services to the public. The company has mentioned services such as the railways as an example and is currently working on integrating such departments with Arattai.
However, the service has not yet been rolled out across all government departments. Zoho has also not announced when or for which specific services the feature will become available.
Healthcare and educational institutions will also be able to send up to 1 million messages per month for free under the announced plan. The company has not yet disclosed the charges for messages beyond this monthly limit.
WhatsApp Business Faces a New Option
The launch of Arattai for Business comes as Meta has revised pricing for some WhatsApp Business messages. According to reports, companies are required to pay for certain business messages, including some related to order confirmations and delivery information.
Zoho’s new platform provides another option for businesses and institutions looking for customer communication tools. However, pricing for businesses outside the free categories has not yet been announced.
What Businesses Need to Consider
The availability of a new messaging platform does not automatically mean businesses will switch from existing services. Companies typically need to consider pricing, customer reach, ease of use and compatibility with their existing software.
Arattai for Business is now available for business communication, while Zoho continues to work on integrations for government services. The response from businesses and customers will determine how widely the new platform is adopted.
