Vodafone-Idea has introduced a new AI and Machine Learning (ML)-based spam management solution.
This system automatically detects and flags spam messages, offering users a safer and more organized mobile experience.
According to the company, this solution uses an automated machine-based approach to identify spam, helping users avoid unwanted messages.
Since its testing phase, the system has already flagged over 2.4 crore spam messages.
AI-Powered Protection Against SMS Spam
Jagbir Singh, Vodafone-Idea’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), explained that as digital communication increases, the risk of SMS spam and scams also rises.

Pattern Recognition: Through machine learning, it identifies phishing links, suspicious sender details, and common spam message language.
Spam Tagging: Suspected spam messages are flagged as “suspected spam,” giving immediate alerts to users.
Continuous Improvement: The system constantly updates itself with new spam trends using machine learning, improving its detection capabilities over time.
Benefits for Customers
Enhanced Security: This system helps users avoid fraud and scams by identifying spam messages and alerting them.
No Setup Required: The system works automatically, requiring no manual setup, making it easy and convenient for users to stay protected.
