Nayara Energy has increased petrol prices by ₹5 per litre and diesel prices by ₹3 per litre with immediate effect, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The latest hike comes as fuel retailers face renewed pressure from higher global energy prices.

The company operates thousands of fuel stations across India, and the latest increase will affect customers filling petrol and diesel at Nayara outlets.

Nayara Energy Petrol Price Hike

Nayara Energy has raised petrol and diesel prices at its outlets from Saturday. According to the information provided, petrol has become costlier by ₹5 per litre, while diesel prices have increased by ₹3 per litre.

The company had earlier passed on higher international oil prices to consumers when disruptions in global energy supplies increased pressure on fuel retailers.

Nayara had also raised petrol prices by ₹5 per litre and diesel prices by ₹3 per litre on March 26. Following that increase, petrol at Nayara outlets was priced at ₹100.71 per litre, while diesel cost ₹91.31 per litre.

Why Nayara Energy Raised Fuel Prices

The latest increase comes amid renewed pressure on petrol and diesel retailers because of higher global energy prices.

Nayara has made several price changes this year as international crude oil prices and market conditions changed. Public sector fuel retailers also increased petrol

and diesel prices in stages during May, with the combined increases reaching around ₹7.50 per litre by the end of that month.

The fourth increase by public sector companies on May 25 raised petrol prices by ₹2.61 per litre and diesel prices by ₹2.71 per litre.

Nayara Later Cut Petrol and Diesel Prices

Nayara had subsequently reversed its March price increase in July. On July 1, the company reduced petrol prices by ₹5 per litre

and diesel prices by ₹3 per litre after international crude oil prices eased following a reduction in tensions in West Asia.

The latest hike marks another change in the company’s retail fuel prices as global energy market conditions put pressure on fuel retailers.

What Customers Should Know

The latest price increase applies to fuel sold through Nayara Energy outlets. The company’s petrol and diesel prices can differ from rates charged by other fuel retailers.

The price hike was implemented with immediate effect, according to the sources cited in the report. A request for comment sent to a Nayara spokesperson had not received a response at the time of reporting.
