As SUVs continue to dominate the Indian automotive market, Maruti Suzuki and Honda Cars India are set to launch the next-generation models of their popular sedans, the Dzire and Amaze.

These launches are noteworthy as sedan sales have been declining, but these new models aim to reignite interest.

The all-new Maruti Dzire is expected to hit the market during the festive season of 2024, while the updated Honda Amaze is set for a December 2024 debut, with sales likely beginning in early 2025.

Here’s what you can expect from these upcoming vehicles.

New Maruti Dzire: Design and Features

The 2024 Maruti Dzire will follow the launch of the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift and will feature a new Z-Series petrol engine.

The car will undergo significant cosmetic changes, including a redesigned front grille, updated projector headlamps, and a revised bumper for a more modern appearance.

The rear of the car will also receive updated taillamp clusters.Inside, the new Dzire is expected to offer a light-colored interior, similar to the Swift.

It will include a revised dashboard, a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, updated HVAC controls, and an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital multi-information display (MID), enhancing the cabin’s overall appeal.

New Honda Amaze: What’s New?

The Honda Amaze, known for its customer satisfaction, is also due for a significant update.

The new model is expected to draw design inspiration from Honda’s global sedan lineup and may be built on a modified version of the platform used for the Honda Elevate, albeit with a shorter wheelbase.

The upcoming Amaze might feature a larger free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, akin to the one in the Honda Elevate, to give the cabin a more premium feel.

Additionally, other features could be borrowed from the Elevate to enhance the sedan’s appeal.

As for the powertrain, the new Amaze is expected to retain its 1.2-liter, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 90bhp and 110Nm of torque.

It will likely continue to offer both a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission.

Exciting Times Ahead for Sedan Enthusiasts

With the all-new Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze, both automakers are poised to offer fresh options in the sedan segment.

These updates are expected to attract customers who appreciate the blend of style, performance, and advanced features that these models promise to deliver.
