Truecaller LinkedIn integration now allows users to display verified professional information from their LinkedIn profiles on Truecaller Caller ID.
The feature is designed to help users identify the professional identity of people calling from unknown numbers.
With the new integration, information such as a caller’s name, profile photo, company and job title can appear on Caller ID with the user’s permission.
Verified professional information from LinkedIn can also provide additional context about the caller.
Truecaller LinkedIn Integration Adds More Details
The integration allows users to connect their LinkedIn account with their Truecaller profile. When available, associated verification signals from LinkedIn can also be displayed on Truecaller.
After viewing a caller’s profile, users can also visit that person’s LinkedIn profile to learn more about their professional background.
Professional Details on Caller ID
When a LinkedIn account is connected, the user’s name, profile photo, company and job title can be displayed on Truecaller Caller ID. This means a receiver may see more than just the caller’s name and phone number.
The feature could be useful for professional calls involving recruiters, clients, suppliers or business contacts who may not already know each other.
New Users Can Link LinkedIn
The integration is also available when creating a new Truecaller profile. New users can choose the Login with LinkedIn option, which can pre-populate details such as their name and profile photo.
Existing Truecaller users can also connect their LinkedIn accounts to showcase their professional identity. However, sharing professional information remains optional.
Users Can Control Their Information
Truecaller says users can decide whether their workplace and job title are displayed on Caller ID. They can also disconnect their LinkedIn account from Truecaller later.
The Truecaller LinkedIn integration is currently available worldwide for Android users. The company said the feature will be rolled out to iPhone users at a later date.
