Nothing CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3) will not be launched in 2024. The announcement was made in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter). Pei revealed that the phone will be launched next year in 2025.
Focus on AI Integration
In the video, Pei discussed his vision for incorporating AI into Nothing’s products. He talked about the current trend of AI-based products, mentioning the challenges faced by devices like the Human AI Pin and Rabbit R1.
Despite the increased focus on AI, Pei reaffirmed Nothing’s commitment to the smartphone form factor. The Nothing Phone (3) will integrate a number of AI features.
The company also shared a demo of its Integrated AI chatbot, which resembles GPT-4o and is said to be multimodal.
This indicates that the company will not launch the phone (3) in the next few months, and fans will have to wait until 2025 for it.
Action Button in Nothing Phone (3)
Carl Pei also indicated that the Nothing Phone (3) will feature an action button, similar to Apple’s. The pictures shared show a volume control button on the left side, a power button on the right side,
and an action button similar to the one in Apple 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Beyond this, not much information about the phone has been revealed.
New Features in Nothing Phone (3)
Carl Pei had earlier indicated that the phone will adopt some features similar to Apple’s products. An action button will be offered for the first time in the Nothing Phone (3).
In the pictures shared, there is a volume control button on the left side, a power button on the right side,
and something like an action button, similar to what is found in the Apple 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apart from this, there is not much information about the phone.
