BSNL Starts Home Delivery of SIM Cards

There is no need to go anywhere to buy a BSNL SIM now. The company is now delivering SIM cards directly to customers’ homes.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched this home delivery service, but it is currently available only in Gurugram and Ghaziabad. This service is for prepaid connections, and you can order a SIM by visiting this webpage.

BSNL has partnered with Prune to provide this service. While private telecom operators have been offering home delivery of SIM cards for some time, it’s a positive step that BSNL has joined them.

You can select one of the BSNL plans and place an order, or you can download the Prune app from the Google Play Store to do so.

Will SIM Delivery Help BSNL Gain Customers?

For several years, BSNL has been losing customers each quarter. The main issue is not the availability of SIM cards but the quality of network services.

BSNL needs to ensure that it deploys 4G networks across the country to compete with private telecom companies.

Improving network services is crucial. While home delivery of SIM cards is a positive step, BSNL must prioritize deploying high-speed networks.

BSNL’s mobile services revenue declined in FY24 due to continuous customer loss. If BSNL does not upgrade its network soon, the future could be challenging for the company.
